Due to underground thermal action in Noboribetsu Onsen, the landscape is punctuated by plumes of steam that increase from the bottom, lagoons with bubbling waters, and effective geysers that shoot drinking water into the air.  Noboribetsu is an onsen city and as such there are several ryokan
